Ian Wyatt has been actively investing in stocks for more than 20 years. He turned that passion into a multi-million dollar Internet business when he founded Wyatt Investment Research in 2001. Ian’s goal is to help investors beat the market by finding great investments that are attractively priced.
He knows that wealthy investors tend to invest differently. They don’t make ridiculous, high risk, high reward bets. They don’t feel the need to buy and sell frequently. Instead, they protect their wealth by investing in great stocks when they are cheap. When they do speculate, they do so intelligently, without letting emotion enter into the equation.
Finding value is Ian’s investment focus. He invests in businesses with sustainable and large cash flows ONLY at the right price. He never overpays for an investment, and loves finding companies that are led by executives whose interests are aligned with shareholders.
Ian believes that the best person to manage your money is YOU. Armed with the ideas from the Wyatt Investment Research team of advisers, you can beat the market and achieve your investment objectives.
In February of 2009 – just one month before the historic low for the stock market - Ian launched the Million Dollar Portfolio with $100,000 of his personal savings. Ian has been bullish on America’s economic recovery every since then, and has encouraged his subscribers to focus on buying good companies at a great price.
His goal was simple when he launched the Million Dollar Portfolio: to grow his nest egg to $1,000,000. Doing so would help secure the financial future of his kids and wife. In less than six years, the portfolio has grown in value to $348,000.
Stephen Mauzy is advisor and contributing editor at Wyatt Investment Research.
Stephen brings a wealth of knowledge and investing experience to the table. He is a CFA charter holder who has been unearthing, analyzing, and writing about income opportunities for the past 25 years. Stephen's expertise and insight has been featured on CNBC, Fox Business News, Barron's, Bankrate.com, CFA Magazine, and other financial media outlets.
Stephen's modus is to stay ahead of the crowd (and to go against it when necessary). Today, dividend investing has become ‘vogue.' But for years, Stephen has been advising investors to buy dividend and income investments, and hold them as long as the income stream continues to rise. His core belief centers on investor income: Your cash flow matters most. If you’re not getting paid, then you’re speculating.
Stephen's focus on income lead to his discovery of the “9th Wonder of the World” – the incredible wealth-generating potential of dividend-growth stocks. Dividend growth invariable leads to share-price appreciation. Investing in reliable dividend-growth stocks and holding them for years is the most effective wealth-generating strategy. The beauty of this strategy is that any disciplined investor can apply it.
Stephen has built a diversified high-yield portfolio of income investments: dividend growers; preferred stocks; blue-chip dividend stocks; and high-yield tax-advantaged securities, including MLPs, REITs, BDCs, and royalty trusts. Recent winners include Omega Healthcare Partners (130% total return), Altria Group (118%), Total SA (66%), and Dr Pepper Snapple (66%)
Jon Lewis is our options guru at Wyatt Investment Research.
He has been in the options publishing business for nearly 25 years, working with such firms as Schaeffer’s Investment Research and InvestorPlace Media.
Jon started out on the editorial side – supporting traders, creating education content and developing training courses on options. Early on, his passion was training and creating education products dealing with stock and options trading. This was a time when options were not nearly as common (or understood) as they are today.
In the past 15 years, Jon has turned to the trading side, developing and directing several option trading services. This was borne of his editorial experience that gave him two important lessons.
Those two convictions led to Jon's trading methodology that is based on selling option premium, while being stock “agnostic.” The result has been several services that rely on selling option premium, usually in some form of spread. Jon's approach has always been – and will continue to be – using stocks that have optimal liquidity and volatility characteristics rather than where they are headed. Underlying this approach is a reliance on probabilities that work in his favor over time.
Jon's work has appeared in Bloomberg Personal Finance, Active Trader, CNBC.com, On Investing, Trader’s Journal, Technically Speaking and Stocks, Futures & Options. He has also presented option training and strategy seminars at numerous Money Shows, along with presentations before private investment groups.
